Buffalo Man Tosses Bag Of Drugs During Jamestown Foot Pursuit

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old Buffalo man is accused of attempting to dispose of a bag containing drugs while fleeing police in Jamestown.

On Wednesday morning, Brandon Wallace was arrested following a brief foot pursuit on East 4th Street.











Wallace, police said, was contacted by officers on patrol and immediately began running away. During the foot chase, Wallace is accused of throwing a bag onto a nearby roof.

After he was taken into custody, police located the thrown bag which had 9.3 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale inside.









To avoid arrest, Wallace is accused of providing a false name to police because he had numerous outstanding warrants, including burglary, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

In addition to the outstanding warrants, Wallace is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, criminal impersonation, and obstructing governmental administration.
