JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown educator is among honorees receiving recognition during the Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce’s “Salute to the Finest.”

Patrick Smeraldo, a PE Teacher with Jamestown Public Schools, has won the “Service to Humanity Award.”


Smeraldo, who founded Collaborative Children’s Solutions, has made it his mission to create opportunities for youth in Chautauqua County.

Over the past few years, he has worked with several partners hosting events for children and raising money for charitable causes like at-risk youth, those with disabilities and the Toys for Tots campaign, which he also co-organizes each year.

Smeraldo is among seven awardees, which will be recognized during a special ceremony at the Northwest Arena on Monday night.
