JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A 23-year-old man who almost struck a Jamestown Police patrol car just prior to a traffic stop last year has been sentenced in connection with felony drug and weapon charges.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office says Johnathan DeJesus-Godineaux was sentenced Wednesday in Chautauqua County Court.

He will serve five concurrent sentences in state prison and three years of post-release supervision.

Last year the Celoron resident was busted by Jamestown Police with methamphetamine, a loaded 9mm firearm, and metal knuckles.

Officers pulled over DeJesus-Godineaux after he almost struck their patrol vehicle in the area of West Third and Lafayette Streets around 2 a.m. in May 2022.
