JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities has issued an important notice for some garbage and recycling customers.

The public utility says due to re-construction of Roland Road on the city’s eastside, trash pickup is taking place earlier than usual.

BPU officials are asking residents on Ronald Road, Kimberly and Laurie Lane to put garbage and recycling at the curb after 4 p.m. the night before their regular collection day.

The time change will give BPU employees a change to avoid the construction work zone, and properly empty the trash and recycling receptacles.
