Jamestown Police Recover Assortment Of Stolen Rifles, Pistols During Stop

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Police in Jamestown recovered an assortment of stolen rifles and pistols during a traffic stop on the city’s eastside.

On Tuesday around 8:20 p.m. Jamestown Police officer’s pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Curtis and Falconer Streets, near SUNY JCC.











Following an investigation, patrol personnel recovered several rifles and pistols inside the vehicle which were reported stolen during a recent burglary in Jamestown.

Some of the weapons, appear to be antique rifles and pistols.









Three suspects inside the car, 41-year-old Michael Knepp, 42-year-old Ronald Morse Jr., and 23-year-old Dakota Proestler were arrested at the scene.

The trio faces a skew of weapon and stolen property charges as a result of the gun seizure.
