Arrest Made After Police Recover Illegal Drugs During Jamestown Traffic Stop

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Jamestown Police recovered a quantity of illegal drugs during a traffic stop last week on the city’s northside.

Officers arrested Kyle Lewis who was a passenger in a car pulled over last Friday for traffic violations.


Lewis, who was wanted for arrest on a federal warrant, allegedly fled the vehicle on foot prior to the vehicle coming to a complete stop. He was arrested following a brief foot pursuit.

During a search of his possessions, officers allegedly located a methamphetamine / fentanyl mixture, along with a digital scale and large sum of cash.

Lewis was held at Chautauqua County’s Jail on the federal warrant, in addition to several new drug charges.
