Silver Creek House Fire Ruled Accidental

SILVER CREEK, NY (WNY News Now) – Investigators have determined what caused a residential fire in the Village of Silver Creek over the weekend.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday the Silver Creek Fire Department, along with mutual aid agencies, responded to a residential structure fire on Adams Street.

After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct a cause and origin fire investigation.


Investigation found the fire was caused by an electrical issue on the second story of the home.

The origin has been deemed to be accidental in nature.
