Jamestown Break-In Leads To Knife Fight

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown break-in involving a knife led to one injured and another behind bars Wednesday afternoon. 

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department were dispatched to a north side address at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon for a reported trespass.

Upon arrival, officers found that 41-year-old Panama resident Margie Curry had allegedly broken into the residence and assaulted a victim with a knife, also violating an order of protection. 


Officers were able to locate Curry on the second floor of the home. When attempting to take her into custody, Curry lashed out against the officers.

Following a brief struggle, Curry was placed into custody with the help of Jamestown Firefighters.

Curry was transported to Jamestown City Jail where she faces a slew of charges, including Burglary, Assault, and Resisting Arrest.  



It was also found that she had an outstanding bench warrant out of the City of Jamestown. Curry is currently being held pending arraignment.
