ELLICOTTVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – A Cattaraugus man is behind bars following a domestic incident where a victim was choked to the point of being almost unconscious last week.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at Riley Road in Ashford Friday afternoon.
Upon arrival, deputies found that 61-year-old James Denaro had allegedly caused serious injury to a victim after striking them, then choking the victim to the point of almost losing consciousness.
Denaro was Arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
