DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – One person has died in a Dunkirk shooting two weeks ago.
The Dunkirk Police Department say that 36-year-old Antonia Watts had died as a result of the May 23 shooting.
Authorities were called to 88 Maple Avenue in the City of Dunkirk at around 4:25 p.m.
Officers say that the confrontation was amongst people who know each other.
Watts was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Dunkirk Police would like the public to know that due to the personal nature of the shooting, there is no threat to the public at this time.
