
JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is behind bars following a warrant arrest, involving drugs and a loaded gun Thursday afternoon.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department stopped a vehicle in the area of 25 South Main Street for an alleged traffic stop.
Officers discovered the driver, 57-year-old Tarik Salik, had an active warrant through the City of Jamestown.
Further investigation discovered that Salik was in possession of a high capacity magazine and quantity of methamphetamine.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he is being held pending arraignment.
He faces a slew of charges including Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, all in addition to the warrant.
