COLD SPRING, NY (WNY News Now) – An erratic highway driver was apprehended for drunk driving Saturday night.
Cattaraugus Police responded to a call about a suspicious driver headed west on I-86 in the Cold Spring Township at around 11:40 p.m.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered the driver, 22-year-old Cooper Gates, was displaying signs of intoxication.
He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated DWI-Blood Alcohol Content of .18 or higher, and Failure to Yield Right of Way to an Emergency Vehicle.
Gates will need to return to the Cold Spring Town Court at a later date.
