Kiantone, NY (WNY News Now) – A local café is taking the spotlight in Kiantone this week. Lori’s Kountry Kafe is what many might call a hidden gem.
The restaurant has been under new management since last November and is seemingly on the rise.
“We have become very busy because I have been in many restaurants and a lot more people have known me, it’s getting busier every day,” said owner Sherri Shaw.
This cozy café has a large menu, featuring something for everyone.
“We have all kinds of breakfast items, lunch items, senior items, kid’s items, side dishes, desserts, anything you could ask for. We have a regular menu, and we have a specials menu, plus we have a board that’s up everyday for lunch specials,” said Shaw.
Shaw touts her excitement for the future of the restaurant.
“I wasn’t sure I could even do this to begin with but I am doing very well, I just want to be able to relax and have a family oriented restaurant where people are happy and people like to meet, that’s what I want,” Shaw said.
The owner has a real passion for being in the kitchen scene.
“I graduated from Edinboro University in 1987 with a degree in Speech and Communications, but I have been a server, bartender and manager for 45 years. I like to make people happy,” explained Shaw.
In the end, Shaw wants to welcome everyone to grab a bite to eat at the café.
“I’m just very happy to show the restaurant to everybody, a lot of people don’t even know it’s here because there’s not a big sign outside, which I will take care of, but I just want everybody to stop by, try it and see if you like it, and come back,” Shaw said.
Lori’s Kountry Kafe is located at 880 Foote Avenue in Kiantone and Sherri Shaw invites new and returning customers.
