
JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is behind bars following a domestic dispute that also led to an alleged choking of a female.
The Jamestown City Police Department responded to a 5th street address in the early hours of Sunday morning for a report of a domestic incident.
Upon investigation, police discovered 46-year-old Rudy Ryen allegedly held an unidentified female victim to the wall by her throat during an argument.
Ryen was then taken into custody by police without incident, however, on the way to the patrol car it is reported that Ryen then spat at the victim in front of the responding officers.
The Jamestown man was transported to the city jail where he was charged with Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation, and Harassment. Ryen was held pending arraignment.
