JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Santa Claus is coming to town a little early this year. Christmas In July is headed to Jamestown this week with several days of events ahead.

Patrick Smeraldo of Collaborative Children’s Solutions spoke to us at WNY News Now to give a breakdown of what to expect during this festive time.

“Christmas In July is coming on Thursday the 20th of July and it’ll run through Sunday the 23rd with various events on different days,” Smeraldo said.

A large festival for the kiddos will kick-off the celebration.

“It’s going to break loose with a kid’s fair from 11 a.m to 1 p.m on Steele Street. We’re gonna have 20 providers down there playing games and interacting with kids, we’re going to have Marty’s Bubblegum Machine, kid’s D.J down there and a bounce house, it’s totally free which is incredible,” said Smeraldo

Christmas in July will have events for all age groups.

“Rolling into Friday, we’re going to collaborate with the Whirlybird Music Festival where we’re going to run an adult happy hour from 5 p.m to 8 p.m, it’s a scavenger hunt where they can log into our site, or our Facebook page and they can enter all on their phone. Basically they figure out the clues to the adult establishments involving Christmas, figure it out, scan the QR code, it checks the box if they figured it out and then they move to the next one,” Smeraldo explained.

Christmas In July is a collaboration between many different events and organizations, helping Collaborative Children’s Solutions live up to its namesake.

“We will be doing our Christmas in July, it’s a Macker Launch Party, we’ll be doing all of our favorite things, and then at the end of the second game will be our fireworks show,” Smeraldo said.

A full list of events, times, and places can be found on the Collaborative Children’s Solutions Facebook page. Special accommodations for those with noise sensitivities will be available at the firework show to allow accessibility to everyone.
