JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A local congressman is touting how he has been supporting Veterans while in office.
Since taking office, Congressman Nick Langworthy says he has been fighting for Veterans rights.
Last month, the House passed the The Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act including a total of $317.441 billion dollars in funding for the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies.
This fully funds veterans’ health care programs, benefits, and VA programs; including the electronic health record modernization initiative.
Langworthy touted how during his administration, the VA received more than enough funding.
“It’s really important that we live up to our side of the commitment,“ explained Langworthy. “Some gave all, and all gave some. And they come home, and many of them have life long problems and healthcare issues and needs, and the VA needs to be there to help them in their twilight years especially. But I’m a strong advocate to support our Veterans and we’ll do anything to do that.”
He also went on to say if a Veteran in his district is having problems to contact his office.
