Allegany, NY (WNY News Now) – A felony arrest was made on August 4, 2023, at approximately 11:53 PM, when an Allegany man was apprehended after a domestic dispute.
On the night of August 4, 2023, at around 11:53 PM, local patrol units swiftly responded to an address at 4 1/2 N. 6th St. following a reported domestic incident. Raymond G. Shaffer was taken into custody as a result of the altercation.
Shaffer, 46, faced multiple charges stemming from the incident. Notably, he was charged with a felony under Criminal Contempt 15, a misdemeanor for Menacing in the second degree, and a violation for Harassment in the second degree.
After his arrest, Shaffer was transported to the Town of Hinsdale Court for his arraignment proceedings. Following the arraignment, he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
