(WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old Jamestown resident is in custody after being apprehended by officers on August 22nd with a substantial amount of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cash, along with drug-related paraphernalia.
Jamestown – In a morning operation on August 22, officers from the First Platoon spotted 33-year-old Jamestown resident Craig VanHook on the northern side of the city. VanHook, who was wanted on felony arrest warrants, attempted to evade capture by running between houses. However, his escape was thwarted by a fence. Subsequently, he was arrested without resistance.
Upon searching VanHook, officers discovered various packaging materials commonly associated with drug distribution. A thorough investigation revealed a significant quantity of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a substantial amount of cash in his possession.
VanHook was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He now faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. Currently, he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
