(WNY News Now) – A sinkhole has emerged expanding rapidly above what appears to be a storm drain, causing worry for a local business owner and residents.
The sudden appearance of a sinkhole on Sunday morning at the junction of Residential Drive and Foote Ave has triggered alarm among residents and businesses. Situated directly over a storm drain, the sinkhole’s expansion has sparked concerns for safety, particularly for patrons of Lori’s Kountry Kafe, owned by Sherri Shaw.
Shaw expressed apprehension about potential harm to customers and further property damage. Despite numerous calls to the Jamestown BPY Water Division, no remedial measures have been initiated as of this report.
WNY News Now contacted the division on August 21, 2023, and was informed that maintenance would be notified, yet no actions have been taken to date.
