(WNY News Now) – A Celoron man has been apprehended after a four-month collaborative operation targeting the distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine in Southern Chautauqua County.
Celoron – Darin L. Butts Jr., a 30-year-old male residing at 19 E. Duquesne St. in Celoron, NY, has been arrested following a comprehensive four-month investigation into Crystal Methamphetamine trafficking and distribution in Southern Chautauqua County.
On August 23, 2023, a joint effort involving the Chautauqua County Narcotics Unit, Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Ellicott Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department, and the DEA culminated in the execution of a search warrant at Butts’ residence.
The operation yielded the confiscation of approximately 2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, alongside equipment such as scales, packaging materials, and a significant sum of U.S. currency.
Butts was apprehended without incident and is now detained in the Chautauqua County Jail. He is scheduled for arraignment on federal charges in the Western District of New York Court located in Buffalo, NY.
