(WNY News Now) – A Buffalo man is under arrest, facing charges of Attempted Murder, Assault, and Gang Assault for his alleged involvement in a vicious attack on a 41-year-old man that occurred on August 20, 2023.

Buffalo – Demetrius F. Gore, 52, from Buffalo, has been apprehended and charged with Attempted Murder, Assault, and Gang Assault following a disturbing incident on August 20. In collaboration with accomplices, Gore purportedly assaulted a 41-year-old male victim on Broadway, employing a combination of stabbing, kicking, and punching. The victim was gravely injured and transported to ECMC for treatment.

Gore’s felony hearing is scheduled for August 25. If found guilty of the most severe charge, he could face a maximum prison sentence of 25 years. The incident’s co-defendant, Amari K. Atkins, 27, also faces the same charges and awaits a felony hearing.
