Man Faces Criminal Contempt Charges for Violating Stay-Away Order

(WNY News Now) – A 30-year-old man has been charged with second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation by the Ellicott Police Department. He allegedly violated a court-issued stay-away order of protection by visiting the protected party’s workplace.

Ellicott – Roy A. Loveless, 30, has been charged with second-degree criminal contempt in Ellicott. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Ellicott Police Department, which revealed that Loveless had allegedly violated a valid stay-away order of protection.

According to authorities, Loveless disregarded the court-issued order by visiting the protected party’s place of employment. As a result, he has been issued an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to address these charges.
