Protection Violation Leads to Arrest of Jamestown Man

(WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old Jamestown resident was apprehended by Jamestown Police on September 4, 2023, for violating an active Stay Away Order of Protection.

Jamestown, NY – On September 4, 2023, at 3:46 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a South Side address after receiving reports of an Order of Protection violation. Upon reaching the scene, they encountered Robert M. Bloom, a 29-year-old male and Jamestown resident, trespassing on the property of the female victim.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Bloom had breached a valid Stay Away Order of Protection, leading to his immediate arrest. He now faces charges of Criminal Contempt 2nd and is currently detained in the Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
