(WNY News Now) – UPDATE: A tragic motor vehicle accident on RT394 in the Town of North Harmony took the lives of two individuals on September 3, 2023, at 12:43 PM.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene of a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle. Preliminary investigations indicate that the pickup truck executed a left-hand turn directly into the path of an oncoming motorcycle, resulting in a devastating crash.
The victims have been identified as John F Honan, a 64-year-old male, and Rhonda Honan, a 53-year-old female, both residents of Amherst, NY. Tragically, both succumbed to their injuries on-site despite the efforts of multiple fire departments and County EMS personnel who provided immediate medical care.
Stefan Parkhurst, a 42-year-old male from Mayville, NY, is under suspicion in connection with this incident, facing charges that include Operating without Insurance, Operating while registration suspended/revoked, Improper Turn, Moved from lane unsafely, Failed to yield right of way on left turn, and Reckless Driving. The case is set to be heard in the Town of North Harmony court.
