Jamestown Police Department is Seeking Assistance in Locating Fugitive

(WNY News Now) – The Jamestown Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a Jamestown man wanted for Intimidating a Witness and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Jamestown – Chautauqua County Court has issued warrants for Wayne B. Wright III, who is currently wanted for Intimidating a Witness and for failing to appear in court on charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. In a recent incident, Wright was involved in a vehicle pursuit and foot chase, resulting in an injured officer who is now in recovery. Further charges are expected to be filed against Wright.


Wright, known to have a violent criminal history, is believed to be in the Axtel Street or Park Street area. Authorities are urging the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend him but to call 911 or the appropriate law enforcement agency immediately upon sighting.
