Assault Charges for Jamestown Couple


(WNY News Now) – An alleged domestic dispute in Jamestown on September 9th resulted in the arrest of a Jamestown couple. Both individuals face multiple charges, including Assault in the 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree.

Jamestown – Karen M. Danson, 37, and Andrew J. Cooley, 39, were arrested after an alleged altercation on September 9th, unfolding in a Jamestown parking lot at around 9:48 pm. Responding to the scene, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd platoon encountered a heated exchange between the couple, both verbally and physically.

Following an investigation, it was revealed that both parties sustained injuries during the altercation and committed offenses against each other. Consequently, Cooley was arrested and charged with Assault in the 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Aggravated Family Offense. Danson faces charges of Assault in the 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree.


Both Danson and Cooley are currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
