(WNY News Now) – On October 6th, 2023, Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) and the Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship program (DGA) will present a webinar featuring Dr. Stacey Hamilton from the University of Missouri Extension, showcasing the innovative PaddockTrac technology for data-driven pasture management.
Online – Are you interested in grazing, an experienced grazier, or just fascinated by new technology? Join CCE and DGA on October 6th, 2023, from 12 pm to 1 pm for a webinar to discover the PaddockTrac technology. Developed by Dr. Stacey Hamilton and Ryan Lock at the University of Missouri, PaddockTrac promises to revolutionize pasture management by leveraging data analytics.
The PaddockTrac system, still in the testing phase, utilizes a sensor mounted on an ATV to automatically measure forage height, growth rates, and pasture cover. This data is then analyzed in real-time through a smartphone app, providing actionable insights to enhance grazing strategies.
During the webinar, Dr. Stacey Hamilton will explain the workings of this innovative tool, its development background, and its future potential. The event will also feature an extensive Q&A session, enabling participants to engage directly with the experts.
The webinar is free and open to all interested in grazing practices. Registration can be completed at https://tinyurl.com/ccepaddocktrack. For inquiries or assistance, please contact Camila Lage at (607) 422-6788 or email@example.com.
