WASHINGTON, D.C. –“This grant underscores our commitment to ensuring that our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to keep our community safe,” said Rep. Langworthy. “As the Jamestown Police Department is dealing with increased crime rates, this funding for force-multiplying equipment will enable them to respond more effectively to emerging challenges.”
This grant is part of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, focused on increasing the capacity of local police departments to conduct enhanced surveillance, data collection, and investigative activities. Specifically, the Jamestown Police Department will purchase and implement an additional deployable pole camera system.
