(WNY News Now) – The Jamestown Police Department has released its weekly crime statistics for the period spanning September 17 to September 23, 2023, offering insight into the top ten calls for service and overall incident trends.
Jamestown – According to the data provided by the Jamestown Police Department, “Check Well Being” and “Domestic Dispute” were the top two calls for service during the specified week, with 44 and 41 incidents reported, respectively. Overall, there were 899 total incidents recorded, reflecting a 7.2% increase compared to the previous week.
Among other notable categories, “Animal Complaint” and “Noise Complaint” accounted for 29 and 24 incidents, respectively. Larceny, Criminal Mischief, Harassment, and Disorderly Person incidents were also documented at 166 in total.
Peace Officer interventions numbered 15, while Motor Vehicle Accidents were reported at 17, accompanied by 104 Vehicle Stops and 74 VT Tickets issued. Additionally, there were 7 Drug-Related Cases and 26 Overdose Cases during the week.
The report also provides year-to-date (YTD) statistics, with 1,212 YTD Case Offenses and 772 YTD Arrests recorded.
