“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” Returns to Fredonia Opera House Cinema Series


(WNY News Now) – The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center’s Cinema Series presents the comedy sequel, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3,” directed by Nia Vardalos, offering a heartwarming family reunion in Greece, screening on October 7 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Fredonia – The beloved “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” franchise returns to the big screen with its third installment, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3,” as part of the Cinema Series at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center. Written and directed by Nia Vardalos, this worldwide phenomenon invites audiences to rejoin the Portokalos family on a hilarious and heartwarming adventure during a family reunion in Greece.

Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis expressed the film’s popularity, citing the original as the most attended movie in their 30-year history and the success of the second installment in 2016. “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” promises genuine laughs, a healthy dose of heart, and a colorful celebration of family and culture, according to reviews from publications like the Chicago Reader, San Francisco Chronicle, and Collider. The film is rated PG-13 and runs for one hour and 31 minutes.


Tickets for the screenings are available at the door, with prices at $7 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and Opera House members, and $5 for students. A book of 10 movie passes can also be purchased for $60. The Opera House provides assistive listening headsets for the hearing-impaired upon request.
