Drug Task Force Executes Search Warrant, Makes Arrests in Randolph


(WNY News Now) – In a coordinated effort, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on October 12, 2023, at 3276 Bowen Road in the Town of Randolph. Two individuals were subsequently arrested in connection with the operation.

Randolph – On October 12, 2023, law enforcement agencies collaborated to execute a search warrant at 3276 Bowen Road in the Town of Randolph. This operation involved members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested. Daniel D. Visker, 37, a resident of Randolph, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. James A. Scotchmer, 38, hailing from Jamestown, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.


Following their arrests, both suspects were processed and subsequently released on appearance tickets for the Town of Randolph Court. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, comprised of members from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Salamanca Police Department, and Olean Police Department, played a central role in this operation.
