Suspects Arrested for Criminal Trespass and Drug Possession in Jamestown


(WNY News Now) – Two individuals were apprehended by authorities in Jamestown after allegedly trespassing in a condemned property, resulting in multiple charges, including drug possession and possession of burglar tools.

Jamestown – On the afternoon of October 24, 2023, at approximately 4:58 pm, officers from the 2nd platoon  responded to a reported burglary in progress at a dilapidated residence on Forest Ave in Jamestown. Arriving at the scene, officers noticed an open window at the front of the property, indicative of unauthorized access.

While awaiting additional officers to arrive, two individuals emerged from within the condemned premises. Subsequent investigation alleged that the two suspects, identified as Joseph A. Kazmar, 44 years old, and Savannah Raynor, 20 years old, had unlawfully entered the property, which had been officially marked as off-limits by the City of Jamestown.


Both Kazmar and Raynor were taken into custody without any resistance. During a search conducted following the arrests, officers discovered a small quantity of methamphetamine and tools commonly employed for breaking into buildings and vehicles in Kazmar’s possession.

Following their apprehension, Kazmar and Raynor were transported to the city jail, where they were processed and subsequently released on appearance tickets. Joseph A. Kazmar is now facing multiple charges, including Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools. Meanwhile, Savannah Raynor has been charged with Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree.
