
(WNY News Now) – In a joint operation, narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 36 Chautauqua Ave’s lower apartment, leading to the arrest of two Jamestown residents.
Jamestown – In a coordinated effort to combat narcotics-related activities, law enforcement authorities executed a search warrant at 36 Chautauqua Ave’s lower apartment in Jamestown, New York. The operation unfolded on October 24, 2023, resulting in the arrest of two individuals: Micayla Blair, a 21-year-old female, and Devonte Green, a 24-year-old male.
During the search of the apartment, narcotics investigators allegedly discovered and confiscated a quantity of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of narcotics, and $1,513 in U.S. currency. The presence of a child during this operation raised concerns for the child’s welfare. As a consequence, Blair and Green were both charged with the following offenses:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree: Both individuals face this felony charge, which pertains to the unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell or distribute.
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree: Another felony charge, this relates to the use of drug paraphernalia for narcotics-related activities.
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child: This is a misdemeanor charge, reflecting the presence of a child in a situation that could be detrimental to their well-being.
After their arrest, Blair and Green were transported to the City of Jamestown Court for arraignment.
