
(WNY News Now) – A 39-year-old woman was arrested in Jamestown after being involved in a motor vehicle accident and subsequently found in possession of illegal plastic knuckles, leading to multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
Jamestown – On October 23, 2023, at approximately 8:35 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department were dispatched to the downtown area following a motor vehicle collision, during which one party left the scene. Subsequently, officers located the suspect vehicle on the north side of the city and initiated a traffic stop.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brittany E. Morgan, aged 39. An ensuing investigation revealed that Morgan was allegedly in possession of plastic knuckles, which are prohibited in the state of New York. Morgan was promptly taken into custody by law enforcement.
The charges brought against Brittany E. Morgan include Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, due to her prior criminal conviction history. Additionally, she faces charges related to traffic violations, such as Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the third degree, passing a red signal, operating without insurance, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Brittany E. Morgan’s case is currently held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
