Suspicious Situation Leads to Drug Charges in Jamestown

(WNY News Now) – A routine dispatch to a suspicious situation on Barrows St. near Chandler St. on the night of November 2, 2023,  resulted in the arrest of a Jamestown resident on drug-related charges.

Jamestown – At approximately 9:40 PM, the Jamestown Police Department responded to a call about a suspicious situation, sending a Nuisance Officer and a K9 Unit member to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered William J. Morse, a 41-year-old Jamestown resident, engaged in repairing a motor vehicle in the roadway, a violation of Jamestown City Codes.

During a search of the vehicle, officers uncovered a quantity of Cocaine HCL and Norco pills. Due to these allegations Morse was taken into custody, facing two charges – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Repairing a Motor Vehicle on a City Street.


Following his arrest, Morse was processed and subsequently released with an appearance ticket.
