Jamestown Resident Arrested for Drug Possession During Traffic Stop

(WNY News Now) – On November 4, 2023, at approximately 3:13 pm, a 39-year-old resident of the City of Jamestown, found herself facing charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and traffic violations after a routine traffic stop in the vicinity of Spring St and Crossman St.

Jamestown – On the afternoon of November 4, 2023, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Spring St and Crossman St. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jamie L. Bennett, a 39-year-old City of Jamestown resident, was pulled over for operating a vehicle with an expired license.

During the course of the traffic stop, a subsequent investigation revealed that Jamie Bennett was allegedly in possession of a quantity of Methamphetamine. As a result, she was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing.


Following her arrest, Jamie Bennett was released from custody with traffic tickets for the expired license violation and an appearance ticket in Jamestown City Court.
