
(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County, residents can cast their votes in today’s General Election, with a few noteworthy changes in polling locations.
Chautauqua County – Polls are open today from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., ensuring ample opportunity for citizens to exercise their right to vote. Notably, several polling site changes have been implemented this year.
Voters who previously cast their ballots at the FSUC Technology Incubator in Dunkirk will now find their polling place at the Clarion Hotel on Lakeshore Drive E. Likewise, voters who frequented the National Comedy Center in the past will now cast their votes at the Double Tree Hotel on the corner of 4th St & Washington St in Jamestown. These changes are a result of adjustments made to County Legislative lines and Ward lines within the City of Jamestown, which led to updates in Election Districts throughout the county.
To determine your assigned poll site and election district, voters are encouraged to consult their 2023 yellow voter information card or visit the Board of Elections website at www.votechautauqua.com.
Eligibility to vote in this General Election extends to any New York State citizen who is at least 18 years of age and has previously registered. With the polls now open, Chautauqua County residents have the opportunity to make their voices heard in this election.
