(WNY News Now) – On November 14, 2023, at 4:55 P.M., State Troopers from SP Olean navigated a potential crisis as a single-engine plane executed an emergency landing on State Route 417 in Carrollton.
Town of Carrollton – Investigation determined the single prop airplane was experiencing mechanical issues and the pilot and only occupant, Ethan M. McInotosh, 21 of Wilton, ME attempted an emergency landing on State Route 417. McIntosh landed the plane without damaging property or any injuries.
Prompt removal of the aircraft from the roadway further ensured the swift restoration of normal traffic flow on State Route 417. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Federal Aviation Administration and the National Traffic Safety Board assisted in this investigation.
