(WNY News Now) – A 36-year-old Jamestown man has been charged with Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd Degree following a domestic incident on the Southside.

Jamestown – In a response to a reported domestic disturbance on the Southside of Jamestown, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon and Violent Crime Unit arrived at a residence around 7:00 pm on November 16, 2023. The primary subject of the investigation, Michael C. Hallowell, was apprehended at the scene.

During the course of the investigation, law enforcement determined that Hallowell had allegedly restrained a female victim on a bed, preventing her from leaving. The situation led to the immediate arrest of Hallowell, who is now facing charges of Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd Degree.

Following his apprehension, Hallowell was promptly transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
