(WNY News Now) – On November 20, 2023 a 43-year-old male, was arrested on charges of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree (Felony) and Theft of Services (Misdemeanor) after barricading himself in a downtown hotel room.

Jamestown – On November 20, 2023, at approximately 1:15 PM, officers from the First Platoon responded to a downtown hotel following reports of a guest, identified as Michael T. Saxon, allegedly refusing to leave his room after the expiration of his stay. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with Saxon, who barricaded himself inside.

After a 45-minute standoff, officers safely entered the room, apprehending Saxon without further incident. A subsequent investigation revealed damages to the room exceeding $1,500. Saxon was promptly transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he faces charges of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a felony, and Theft of Services, a misdemeanor.
