(WNY News Now) – As the Medicare enrollment deadline looms on December 7th, Congressman Nick Langworthy collaborates with the Sinclairville 76ers to assist seniors in navigating the enrollment process and addressing any concerns before the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Sinclairville – In preparation for the upcoming December 7th Medicare enrollment deadline, Congressman Nick Langworthy engaged in a lunch meeting with members of the Sinclairville 76ers, a senior center and service organization located in Sinclairville, NY. The gathering, held ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, aimed to ensure seniors have the necessary support to meet the deadline and provided a platform to address any additional concerns or questions they may have.

The Sinclairville 76ers Association for Better Living is known for its dedication to providing nutritious meals for seniors through the Meals on Wheels program, serving the Cassadaga Valley area. It’s worth noting that the Meals on Wheels program has faced funding challenges of its own, and the organization expressed gratitude to the county for its continued partnership.

Before delving into the topic of Medicare enrollment, the gathering began with the recitation of the pledge of allegiance. Congressman Langworthy then addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of the approaching December 7th deadline. He stated, “You have until December 7th to make changes. This is a once a year window to make changes to your Medicare coverage benefits. However you might want to make adjustments, this is the time to do it.”

Langworthy underlined the significance of the deadline, comparing it to Pearl Harbor Day, and stressed that it is a firm cutoff for making changes to Medicare coverage. Acknowledging the complexity of the process, he assured seniors that his office is ready and willing to provide assistance. “So if you need help with it, my office is there and ready and willing and able to help you out,” Langworthy assured.

During the gathering, Congressman Langworthy also took the opportunity to reflect on his roots in Chautauqua County and expressed his gratitude for the privilege of representing the district in Congress. The lunch meeting provided an informal setting for seniors to engage with their congressional representative, fostering open communication about their healthcare concerns and ensuring they are well-informed about the available resources.

Congressman Nick Langworthy represents the 23rd Congressional District of New York, including Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties and parts of Erie County. For more information: Visit langworthy.house.gov.
