(WNY News Now) – In a startling incident at Jamestown City Jail on November 24, 2023, a 27-year-old woman faces additional charges after attempting to ingest a controlled substance in the presence of officers during her court proceedings.
Jamestown – At approximately 10:05 am on November 24, 2023, officers from the 1st Platoon responded to a call for assistance at Jamestown City Court involving Nicole C. Grimm. Grimm, already in custody, was suspected of possessing a controlled substance within the Jamestown City Jail premises.
Upon arrival, officers learned that while awaiting paperwork processing in the holding room, Grimm allegedly extracted a clear baggie containing cocaine from her bra and attempted to ingest it in the presence of law enforcement. A brief struggle ensued, resulting in officers successfully confiscating the baggie.
Grimm was subsequently committed to Chautauqua County Jail from the court. Her charges now include Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence, the latter being a felony offense. She is held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
