(WNY News Now) – A 41-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested on November 25, 2023, at 7:35 pm, on charges of Harassment 2nd and Resisting Arrest after an altercation on the North Side of Jamestown.

Jamestown – Officers from the second platoon responded to a report of a disorderly person and arrived at the scene to find Benjamin J. Preston 41, allegedly making threats of physical harm towards a victim, including an alarming threat to seize an officer’s gun.

In the course of their intervention, Preston resisted arrest, resulting in a brief struggle before he was successfully apprehended. Following the incident, Preston was transported to Jamestown City Jail, where he is currently held pending arraignment. The charges brought against him include Harassment 2nd and Resisting Arrest.
