JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – The 17th annual National Invitational Scholastic Showcase hockey tournament is returning to the Northwest Arena this weekend from December 1st-3rd. 

This tournament will showcase the top varsity high school teams from across the United States to compete for the Governor’s Cup.

The participating teams in this years  3 day tournament are as followed:

Bethel Park Blackhawks (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
Cathedral Prep Ramblers (Erie, Pennsylvania)
Culver Academy Eagles  (Indiana)
DeMatha Catholic Stags  (Hyattsville, Maryland)
Glenbrook South Titans  (Chicago, Illinois)
Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem,, Pennsylvania)
Medina Bees  (Cleveland, Ohio)
North Allegheny Tigers  (Wexford, Pennsylvania)
Ontario Hockey Academy  (Cornwall, Ontario)
Regis Jesuit Raiders  (Denver, Colorado)
St Edwards Eagles  (Cleveland, Ohio)
Stevenson Patriots  (Chicago, Illinois)
St Joseph’s Collegiate Prep Marauders (Buffalo, New York)
University School (Huntingdon Valley, Ohio)
Upper St Clair Panthers (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
York Dukes (Chicago, Illinois)

The tournament times will be from 130-930PM on Friday,  8AM to 930PM on Saturday, and on Sunday play begins at 830AM with the final game beginning at 1PM.

Admission to this tournament is free and the arena café/bar will be open for drinks and refreshments.
