(WNY News Now) – A 36-year-old female from Jamestown, NY, was apprehended by Jamestown Police on November 30, 2023, facing felony arrest warrants and a second-degree criminal contempt charge.
Jamestown, N.Y. – In a domestic incident unfolding on the west side of Jamestown, NY, officers from the Jamestown Police Department, on a GIVE Domestic Violence detail, responded to a call at approximately 8:41 pm on November 30, 2023. The focus of their attention was Jennifer A. Welch, a 36-year-old female with known felony arrest warrants.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers engaged with a 50-year-old male victim and successfully located Welch inside the residence. Taking her into custody, officers discovered an existing order of protection, mandating Welch to stay away from the male victim. The charges against Welch extend beyond the existing warrants, encompassing second-degree criminal contempt.
Following her apprehension, Jennifer Welch was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
