(WNY News Now) – A 27-year-old South Dayton man received a 2 to 6-year indeterminate state prison sentence on December 5th from Judge David Foley for violating probation, stemming from a 2022 conviction for 3rd-degree burglary in Westfield.

Mayville, N.Y. – Paul Davis, convicted in April 2022 for a November 2020 burglary, initially received a 5-year probation term. However, he breached probation early on, prompting the Chautauqua County Probation Department to file a violation in October 2022. A warrant was issued, leading to Davis’s arrest in August 2023.

Admitting his probation violation on October 5th, he now faces the state prison sentence. The Chautauqua County District Attorney expressed gratitude to the Probation Department for their vigilant supervision.
