(WNY News Now) – An Angola, NY resident was arrested on December 2, 2023 around 1:30 PM, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Salamanca.
Salamanca, N.Y. – Fred W. Phillips Jr., 31, of Angola, NY, was arrested on December 2, 2023 at approximately 1:30 PM after an inquiry into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Salamanca. Deputies allegedly discovered Phillips was in possession of a bolt-action rifle, and further investigation unveiled his prior felony conviction in New York State.
Phillips has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and has been issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Salamanca Court at a later date.
