(WNY News Now) -A 36-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested on December 14, 2023 by Jamestown Police for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On December 14, 2023 at 7:58 pm, Jamestown Police officers apprehended Ashley G. Richards while she was allegedly operating a bicycle without proper lights and bell on Charles St. near Hazeltine Ave. Richards was observed swerving between lanes, prompting a traffic stop. Upon verification, officers discovered an outstanding arrest warrant. A subsequent search incident to arrest revealed a stolen credit card in her possession. Richards, charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, is currently held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. In addition to the felony charge, she received multiple uniform traffic tickets. The Jamestown Police Department conducted the arrest.
