(WNY News Now) – A 26-year-old Jamestown , NY, woman was apprehended on December 15, 2023 at 4:22 PM by the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit, facing charges of Resisting Arrest, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, and Bribery in the 3rd Degree.
Jamestown, NY – During routine patrol on Newland Ave and Barrett Ave, officers recognized Blakey, who had an outstanding warrant. Upon attempting to arrest her, Blakey allegedly fled on foot, prompting a brief pursuit that ended without further incident. A subsequent search revealed 10 suboxone strips on her person. While being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, Blakey allegedly attempted to bribe officers for her release with cash, despite being warned of the illegality of her actions.
In addition to the outstanding warrant, Blakey now faces charges of Resisting Arrest, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, and Bribery in the 3rd Degree. She is being held in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
