(WNY News Now) – In a routine traffic stop conducted by the Jamestown Police Department Violent Crime Unit at Cherry St and W. 6th St on December 17, 2023 at 2:52 pm, a 43-year-old man was apprehended on charges of being a Fugitive From Justice.

Jamestown, N.Y. – During a routine traffic stop on Cherry St and W. 6th St today at 2:52 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department Violent Crime Unit detained Richard A. Conway, a 43-year-old male, after discovering a confirmed warrant for his arrest in Pennsylvania. The stop was initiated due to allegedly observed traffic infractions.

Following a thorough investigation, Conway was taken into custody without incident and is currently held at the Jamestown City Jail. He faces a charge of Fugitive From Justice and is awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court. Authorities have not disclosed the specifics of the Pennsylvania warrant.
